A cheerful little bowl in one of the most beloved patterns Blue Ridge Southern Pottery ever produced. The Carnival pattern features bold blue and yellow flowers with dark green leaves and brown stems, bordered by a classic candlewick edge that gives it a satisfying, finished look. Hand-painted in Tennessee in the 1950s with the kind of confident brushwork that made Blue Ridge one of the most collected American potteries.
Use it for fruit, dessert, cereal, or as a standalone decorative piece. A wonderful replacement piece for collectors completing a Carnival set — or a lovely introduction to Blue Ridge for first-time collectors.
Very good vintage condition. Some crazing on one side and a little blue paint on the reverse — consistent with age and use. No cracks, chips, or significant scratches.
Blue Ridge Southern Pottery operated in Erwin, Tennessee from 1917 to 1957, producing hand-painted dinnerware that is now among the most actively collected American ceramics. Each piece was painted by hand by local women artisans, giving every item subtle variations that collectors treasure. The Carnival pattern is one of their most recognized and sought-after designs.
